Terms of Service
The contractual basis for using the platform, acceptable use, account obligations, liability limits and termination.

1. Agreement
These Terms govern your access to and use of SkillSignature. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential and are responsible for activity under your account. One person may hold one candidate account.
3. Acceptable use
You may not misrepresent your identity or experience, submit work you did not author, interfere with assessment integrity, attempt to access other users' data, scrape or bulk-extract platform data, resell platform content, or use the platform for unlawful, discriminatory or abusive purposes.
4. Our services
SkillSignature provides assessment, evidence review and credentialing services. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may amend scoring methodology and verification standards where required to maintain assessment validity.
5. Intellectual property
The platform, its assessments, scoring rubrics and branding are our property or that of our licensors. You retain rights in the evidence and materials you submit, and grant us a licence to use them for verification, review and credential issuance.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. A credential reflects the assessed evidence at a point in time and is not a guarantee of future performance, employment or fitness for a particular role. To the maximum extent permitted by law our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, fraud, or conduct that compromises verification integrity. You may close your account at any time. Credential status changes resulting from integrity breaches are handled under the Credential Revocation Policy.
8. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. We may update these Terms and will publish the revised version on this page.
